LEARNING OBJECTIVES AND OUTCOMES:To understand relevant H&S / Legislations to treatment To understand and demonstrate safe practices of a Chemical Peel treatment Understand the healing cascade / collagen and elastin / Understand relevant anatomy and physiology relating to skin types and skin conditions Understand the differences between AHA / BHA /PHA and Enzyme peel Be able to understand the effects and benefits of a chemical peel treatment on different skin types and skin conditions To be able to competently carry out a a Chemical Peel treatment on a model Candidates will be required to read through the H&S and Chemical Peels manual prior to attending to familiarise themselves with the information. This is so that the time in class can be spent on discussing the different types of peels and how they work on the skin and practicing.

This course provides learners with a clear understanding of the theory and practice of chemical peel treatments. You will gain knowledge of health and safety requirements, safe working practices, and the anatomy and physiology of the skin. The course also covers the healing cascade, collagen and elastin production, and how different skin types and conditions respond. Learners will explore the differences between AHA, BHA, PHA, and enzyme peels, as well as their effects and benefits.
